The Winter Garden
Snowdrops and aconites carpet the woodland garden and surrounding woods including the Groom's Wood adjacent to St Andrew's Church, East Lexham and the American Gardens on the far side of the lake.
The garden has been planted to provide winter interest with early flowering, scented shrubs which include several types of viburnums, sarcococca, mahonia, lonicera fragrantissima, hamamelis, azara microphylla, daphnes, coronilla glauca, cornus Winter Beauty, chimonanthus praecox, stachyurus praecox and early flowering bulbs. The yew and box hedges provide winter form.
